Native Spirit Workwear in Bradford
BR Apparel supplies and embroiders the Native Spirit range for businesses and brands across Bradford and Yorkshire: organic cotton t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, polos, chinos and outerwear in an unusually wide colour range.

About Native Spirit workwear from BR Apparel
Native Spirit is built around organic cotton rather than treating it as a premium option bolted onto a conventional range. Ring spun combed cotton runs through the t-shirts, sweats, hoodies and polos, and the range carries streetwear cuts (oversized, dropped shoulder, washed and faded finishes) that most workwear brands do not offer at all.
BR Apparel is a Bradford-based supplier of Native Spirit. We hold and brand the range in-house with embroidery and DTF, and supply it to businesses across West Yorkshire who want a softer, casual alternative to a standard polo-and-fleece uniform, and to brands who want organic cotton blanks for their own label.
It is not a new line for us. The same Native Spirit range already supplies organic cotton blanks on the Launch Studio side of the business, alongside Stanley/Stella and AS Colour, for founders building their own clothing brand. This page brings the same range, and the same in-house branding, to businesses wanting it as a uniform rather than a retail product.

Why Choose Native Spirit
Native Spirit sits apart from the other six ranges we hold, for reasons that have very little to do with what makes a good workwear brand.
Organic cotton as the base fabric, not an add-on
Ring spun combed cotton runs through the t-shirts (155 gsm), polos (220 gsm) and the corduroy jacket (320 gsm), and a cotton-rich blend carries the sweats, hoodies and joggers. There is no separate "eco line" to trade up to. It is the range.
An unusually wide colour range
The core unisex t-shirt alone runs past 50 shades. Most brands we stock offer six to ten colours per style. That matters when a business wants a specific brand colour matched rather than the nearest one on a short card.
Cuts a workwear range does not usually carry
Oversized, dropped shoulder, washed effect and terry towel finishes sit alongside the straight-cut basics. A business that wants its team in something closer to retail streetwear than a corporate polo has an actual option here, not a compromise.
Recycled content in the heavier layers
Sweatshirts, hoodies and joggers are 85% organic cotton and 15% recycled polyester, which is what gives the heavier weights (300-350 gsm) their structure without moving off organic cotton as the dominant fibre.
Already trusted inside our own business
BR Apparel already sources Native Spirit blanks for the Launch Studio side, where founders building a new clothing brand are choosing between this, Stanley/Stella and AS Colour. That is a harder bar than a supplier simply agreeing to stock a brand.
A genuinely large range
Over 150 garments across t-shirts, sweats, hoodies, polos, chinos, shorts, jackets, bags and headwear. Unlike a five-piece eco add-on, there is enough here to kit out a whole team without repeating the same three silhouettes.
The Native Spirit Range We Supply
We supply and embroider Native Spirit to order. The range runs past 150 SKUs; these are the six groups it falls into.

T-Shirts
Priced to suit the garment and quantityThe Unisex T-Shirt is the flagship: 100% organic ring spun combed cotton at 155 gsm, sized XXS to 5XL, in a colour range that runs past 50 shades. The range also carries a 180 gsm heavyweight, enzyme-washed, faded, oversized and terry towel versions, plus ladies and kids cuts on most styles.

Sweatshirts & Hoodies
Priced to suit the garment and quantityThe Unisex Heavyweight Hooded Sweatshirt runs at 350 gsm in 85% organic cotton and 15% recycled polyester, in the same wide colour range as the t-shirts. French terry, terry towel, oversized and quarter-zip finishes sit alongside it, in unisex, ladies and kids cuts.

Polo Shirts
Guide: around £8 to £22 per polo, supplied and brandedThe Piqué Polo Shirt is 100% organic combed cotton at 220 gsm, with washed, terry towel and dropped-shoulder versions alongside it, and a ladies and kids cut on the core styles. A softer-handling alternative where a business wants organic cotton rather than a workwear-spec pique.

Trousers & Shorts
Priced to suit the garment and quantityChino Trousers in 98% organic cotton and 2% elastane at 235 gsm sit alongside a jog pant and loose jogging trouser (both 300 gsm, 85% organic cotton / 15% recycled polyester), plus chino and terry shorts. Cut for off-shift and casual wear rather than a work trouser.

Jackets & Outerwear
Priced to suit the garment and quantityThe Corduroy Jacket is 100% organic cotton at 320 gsm. The wider outerwear range adds waterproof, Sherpa-lined, denim and varsity-collar styles, all cut closer to streetwear than to a workwear softshell.

Bags & Headwear
Priced to suit the garment and quantityThe Fleece Tote Bag is 85% organic cotton and 15% recycled polyester. The range also runs to corduroy and faded caps, trucker caps, beanies, backpacks and messenger bags, useful for a branded extra beyond the garment order itself.

Embroidery and Printing on Native Spirit
Every Native Spirit order is branded in-house at our Bradford facility. We embroider t-shirts, polos, sweats and hoodies, and use DTF or screen printing for oversized and washed-effect styles, and full-colour artwork. Not sure which to choose? See our embroidery vs printed logos guide.
Ring spun combed cotton takes embroidery cleanly and holds it through repeat washing, which covers the t-shirts, polos and sweats without any special setup. The corduroy jacket and the heavier fleece pieces need a different stabiliser behind the stitch than a jersey tee does, and we set that per garment rather than by default.
The colour range is the thing to plan around, not the fabric. With over 50 shades on the core t-shirt, thread matching is worth confirming at proof stage rather than assuming the nearest standard thread colour is close enough, especially on the washed and faded finishes where the base shade varies garment to garment.
DTF is the better call on the oversized and washed-effect styles, where a dense stitch count can sit at odds with a deliberately soft, worn-in garment, and on any full-colour or photographic artwork that cannot be stitched at all.
Embroidery
Best for the t-shirts, polos, sweats and hoodies: ring spun combed cotton and cotton-rich French terry both take a stitch cleanly. The corduroy and heavier outerwear need the stabiliser set per garment rather than as a default.
- Minimum 6 garments per design
- Sizes can be mixed within a design
- 4 to 5 working day turnaround
- Artwork held on file for re-orders
DTF and Screen Printing
DTF suits the oversized and washed-effect styles, where a soft, low-profile transfer sits better against the fabric than a dense stitch count, and it is the only practical option for full-colour or photographic artwork.
- Minimum 10 garments
- Screen printing is best value at volume
- DTF suits detailed, full-colour designs
- No minimum on re-orders

Native Spirit Workwear FAQs
Common questions from Bradford and Yorkshire businesses ordering branded Native Spirit workwear.
- It is a material fact, not a marketing claim: the catalogue lists ring spun combed organic cotton as the fabric composition on the t-shirts, polos and much of the range, and organic cotton blended with recycled polyester on the heavier sweats and joggers. We have not confirmed that BR Apparel holds GOTS or another certification for this range, so we say "organic cotton" and nothing stronger. Ask if you need the supplier’s own certification paperwork for a tender.
- The core unisex t-shirt alone runs past 50 shades. Not every colour is held in every size at every moment, since stock moves week to week, but the breadth is real and it is the widest colour range of any brand we stock. Worth confirming the exact shade and size at quote stage rather than assuming everything is always in stock.
- The core t-shirt runs XXS to 5XL, the hooded sweatshirt XXS to 4XL, and most styles carry a distinct ladies cut rather than a smaller unisex size, plus kids sizes on several. Worth checking style by style at quote stage, because the size range is not identical across 150-plus SKUs.
- Yes. Native Spirit organic cotton blanks already supply the Launch Studio side of the business, alongside Stanley/Stella and AS Colour, relabelled and decorated for a founder’s own brand. This page brings the same range and the same in-house branding to businesses wanting it as a uniform.
- Yes. Ring spun combed cotton takes a stitch cleanly on the t-shirts, polos and sweats, no differently from any other cotton jersey. The corduroy jacket and the heavier outerwear need the stabiliser set for the fabric rather than a default setting, which we do per garment. On the oversized and washed-effect styles we would usually recommend DTF instead, because a dense stitch count can sit oddly against a deliberately soft, worn-in garment.
- 15% recycled polyester, blended with 85% organic cotton, across the hooded sweatshirt, crew neck sweatshirt and the jog pants and joggers. The t-shirts, polos and the corduroy jacket are 100% (or close to 100%) organic cotton with no recycled content, so the two are not the same claim and we would not describe them as though they were.
- Six garments per design for embroidery and ten for print, and you can mix styles, colours and sizes inside that figure. Once your logo is on file with us there is no minimum on re-orders at all, which matters more on a 150-plus SKU range than a small one, because a team is rarely ordering the same handful of styles twice.
- Four to five working days in production once artwork is signed off, and a quote back inside 24 hours. A first order carries a one-off £15 charge to digitise the logo into a stitch file, normally turned round the same or next day, after which the file stays on record and re-orders skip that step.
