Screen Printing, Done in Bradford
BR Apparel is a Bradford-based screen printing supplier serving businesses across West Yorkshire. Screen printing is produced in-house at our Bradford facility. We run our own presses, which is what allows us to commit to a 3–4 working day turnaround and keep print quality consistent batch to batch.
Screen printing is one of the most durable and cost-effective branding methods for medium-to-large runs of garments printed with the same artwork. We screen print t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, polos and a wide range of workwear for corporate, hospitality and industrial teams.
For repeat customers we hold artwork and screen specifications on file, so re-runs of the same design are quick to set up and stay visually identical to previous batches.
When Screen Printing Is the Right Choice
Screen printing is the most efficient branding method when you are printing a larger quantity of garments with the same bold, spot-colour design. The set-up cost is higher than transfer methods, but the per-garment cost drops significantly as quantity increases.
- Event t-shirts in larger quantities (50+ identical garments)
- Corporate merchandise runs and giveaways
- Sports kits and team apparel
- Branded hoodies and sweatshirts for staff
- Workwear t-shirts for warm production environments
- Bold, spot-colour designs that need to last
For smaller quantities, full-colour or photographic designs, DTF transfers are usually the better option, and we will tell you up front which method gives you the best result for the run you have in mind.

How We Produce Your Screen Printing Order
Share your design and requirements
Send us your artwork (vector ideal), the garment style and quantities. We respond with a quote within 24 hours, including method recommendation.
Artwork separation
We separate your design into individual colour layers (one screen per colour) and prepare film positives at the correct size and placement.
Screen preparation
Each screen is coated with emulsion, exposed and washed out so only the print areas allow ink through. Colours are mixed to match your brand reference where applicable.
Print run
Screens are loaded onto the press, the print is registered, and garments are pulled in batches. Ink is then cured to hold up to commercial laundering.
Quality check & dispatch
Every batch is inspected for print clarity and colour consistency, then folded, packed and dispatched, with most orders ready 3–4 working days after artwork approval.

Common questions from Bradford and West Yorkshire businesses ordering screen printed apparel.
- Screen printing is best for medium to large quantities of garments printed with bold, spot-colour designs. The setup costs more than transfer methods, but the per-unit print cost drops sharply at higher quantities, making it the most efficient option for runs of, say, 50+ identical garments with the same artwork.
- Screen printing is typically most cost-effective from around 25 garments upwards per design. For smaller quantities, DTF transfers are usually the better option. We will recommend whichever method gives you the best result for your quantity and design.
- We screen print spot-colour designs of up to several colours per print location. Each colour is a separate screen, so cost and setup time scale with colour count. For full-colour or photographic designs, we recommend DTF transfers or digital print instead.
- Screen prints are very durable when produced correctly. The ink is cured into the fabric and stands up well to repeated washing. For workwear that goes through commercial laundering, we will discuss ink choice and curing to make sure prints last the life of the garment.
- Standard turnaround is 3–4 working days from artwork approval, subject to garment availability and the number of screens needed. For very large or multi-colour runs, we will confirm a clear timeline at quote stage.
- Yes. Screen printing works well across t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, polos and many workwear garments. Some technical or coated fabrics need a different approach. We will check the garment and recommend the safest method.
