Why brands choose it
The weight
The Made Hood at 500gsm is a genuinely unusual garment. Most heavyweight hoodies stop at 400gsm. This one is closer to outerwear in the hand, and for a brand where weight is the story, nothing else we supply comes close.
The colours
The Staple Tee comes in 69 colours and the Classic Tee in 55. If a founder has a specific brand shade in mind, this is almost always where we find it.
The cut
Retail fits rather than promotional ones. Boxes, relaxed shapes and oversized cuts that sit the way streetwear customers expect.
The simplicity
Fewer styles than the other ranges, but each one does its job properly. Easier to build a coherent collection from a short list than a long one.

Which one. The Staple Tee at 180gsm is the workhorse: light, keenly priced, and available in almost any colour you can think of. The Classic Tee at 220gsm has more body and still runs to 55 colours. The Box Tee and Heavy Tee are the streetwear cuts: relaxed, structured, and they sit away from the body the way a premium tee should.
A word on the Made Hood
At 500gsm, the Made Hood is the heaviest garment we supply and heavier than anything else we have found at this kind of minimum.
It is worth being clear about what that means. It does not feel like a heavyweight hoodie. It feels closer to outerwear. Substantial, structured, and considerably warmer than a 350gsm garment.
The trade-off is colour. There are four. If your brand has a specific shade in mind, this is not the garment. If the weight is the brand, nothing else gets close.
Most founders who arrive asking for 400gsm or heavier are describing a feeling rather than a specification. It is worth handling a 350gsm, a 400gsm and the 500gsm before deciding. The difference is obvious in the hand and invisible on a screen.
What we do with it
Buying blanks is the easy part. Making them into a product is the job.
- Decoration
- Screen print, DTF and embroidery. Chest, back, sleeve or cuff, whatever the design needs.
- Relabelling
- The AS Colour label comes out of the neck and yours goes in. From 25 garments, mixed styles counted together.
- Woven labels
- Your brand woven into damask. Loop, centre, border, end, mitre and hem folds. Minimum 100 per design.
- Care labels
- Printed satin wash and composition labels, applied alongside your brand label.
- Swing tickets
- Attached to every garment.
- Bagging
- Individually bagged with a size sticker, ready for the shelf.
The relabelling is the part that matters. Until it is done you have a printed blank with somebody else's name in the collar. After it, you have a product.

- Organic certification is not what AS Colour leads on. OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Better Cotton Initiative and Amfori BSCI sit behind their sourcing, and their view is that a longer-lasting garment is better for the environment than replacing a cheap one. If a GOTS or GRS certified story is central to your brand, the Stanley/Stella garments we supply are the stronger answer.
