Portwest Workwear Supplier in Bradford
BR Apparel supplies, embroiders and prints Portwest workwear and hi-vis for businesses across Bradford and West Yorkshire, with all branding done in-house.

About Portwest workwear from BR Apparel
Portwest is one of the biggest names in workwear and safety clothing. A family business founded in 1904, it is known for certified hi-vis, work jackets, waterproofs, trousers and safety-led workwear used on sites and in warehouses across the UK.
BR Apparel is a Bradford-based supplier of Portwest workwear. We supply the range to businesses across West Yorkshire and brand it with embroidery, DTF and screen printing, with embroidery and DTF run on our own machines here in Bradford.
Because branding stays in-house, Portwest orders run on our standard 4 to 5 working day turnaround from artwork approval, and we keep your logo on file for fast re-orders and new starters.

Why Choose Portwest
Portwest is the brand we point businesses to when the job calls for safety-led kit that still looks smart with a logo on it. A few reasons teams pick it:
Certified hi-vis
Portwest hi-vis garments are certified to EN ISO 20471, so vests, t-shirts and jackets meet the visibility classes required on UK sites and roads.
Built for outdoor work
Waterproof jackets, softshells and fleeces designed to be worn hard all year round, which makes the range a natural fit for construction, logistics and outdoor trades.
Depth of range
From vests and trousers to full winter kit, the range runs deep in sizes and fits, so larger teams can be dressed consistently without substitutions.
Takes branding well
We embroider and print Portwest garments in-house daily, with placements chosen so logos sit cleanly and hi-vis certification is not compromised.

Embroidery and Printing on Portwest
Every Portwest order is branded in-house at our Bradford facility. We embroider logos onto polos, fleeces and softshells, and onto certified hi-vis where placement allows, and use DTF or screen printing for large back logos and full-colour artwork on uncertified layers. Not sure which to choose? See our embroidery vs printed logos guide.
Branding Portwest hi-vis is the part that needs the most care. A logo has to sit where it does not cover reflective tape or cut into the certified fluorescent background, because a garment that meets EN ISO 20471 off the shelf can stop meeting it once it has been branded badly. We set placement with that in mind on every hi-vis order, and if a position you have asked for would compromise the certification we will tell you before we run it.
On the waterproofs and work jackets we choose placement so stitching sits in a lined or taped panel wherever the garment allows. Where a jacket is better served by a printed or heat applied badge than by embroidery, we will say so rather than put needle holes through a weatherproof layer.
Embroidery
Best for Portwest polos, fleeces and softshells. On certified hi-vis the placement matters as much as the finish, because stitching in the wrong spot eats into the reflective and background area the garment is certified on.
- Minimum 6 garments per design
- Sizes can be mixed within a design
- 4 to 5 working day turnaround
- Artwork held on file for re-orders
DTF and Screen Printing
Best for large back logos and full-colour artwork on t-shirts and uncertified layers, and the better value once volumes climb.
- Minimum 10 garments
- Screen printing is best value at volume
- DTF suits detailed, full-colour designs
- No minimum on re-orders

Portwest Workwear FAQs
Common questions from Bradford and Yorkshire businesses ordering branded Portwest workwear.
- Embroidery has a minimum of 6 garments per design, and you can mix sizes within that. For DTF and screen printing the minimum is 10. There is no minimum on re-orders once your design is on file with us.
- Yes. We position logos so they do not cover the reflective tape or reduce the certified background material, which keeps the garment compliant with EN ISO 20471 after branding.
- Standard turnaround is 4 to 5 working days from artwork approval. A first order adds a one-off digitising step to turn the logo into a stitch file, normally done the same or next day; after that the file sits on record and re-orders skip it.
- Yes. Sites and depots across West Yorkshire are the bulk of what we do, from Leeds and Halifax through to Huddersfield, Wakefield and York, and a produced order usually moves on a next-day courier.
- They cover different jobs. Uneek is the value pick for everyday polos, sweatshirts and hoodies, while Portwest is the stronger choice for hi-vis, waterproofs and safety-led kit. We supply both and can mix brands within one order, so many teams pair Uneek basics with Portwest outer layers.
- Hi-vis vests and t-shirts are the most common, followed by jackets, softshells and work trousers. We can supply the wider Portwest range to order, so tell us what your team needs and we will quote it.
