About half an hour from Huddersfield

Clothing manufacturer for Huddersfield brands

For founders with the design done and no route to a small first run. Premium blanks, your own woven label, from 25 garments.

Huddersfield made its name on fine worsted cloth, and the town still has a university teaching fashion and textiles. If you are studying, or have just graduated, the gap is usually the same: the design is finished, and overseas cut and sew typically starts at 100 per style per colour.

This is the route at 25 garments. We do not weave cloth or cut and sew to your pattern. The garment is a premium blank from Stanley/Stella, Native Spirit or AS Colour, your artwork goes on it, and your woven label goes in its neck in place of the supplier’s (Native Spirit arrives with none). The Bradford unit is around half an hour from Huddersfield by road.

Starting from a design

From a collection to a first drop

A graduate collection is usually a handful of one-offs. A first drop is the same idea at a quantity you can sell: 25 garments, mixed styles counted together, so 15 tees and 10 hoodies is a run.

Spec the blank by code

Every style is listed by supplier code, weight and fit, the way you would write it on a tech pack. The Stanley/Stella Creator 2.0 (STTU169) is a 180gsm straight tee. The Asher (STTU078) is a 280gsm boxy oversized tee.

Design the label once

Your woven label is made to order at 100 per design, which is the label maker minimum. On a first run of 25 the spare labels are held for the next order, so the label artwork is a one-off job.

Not cut and sew

If the brief is a garment made from scratch to your own pattern, that is private label, and we do not do it. We will say so before you spend anything.
